We have wonderful news! Our libraries will be opening for CURBSIDE PICKUP on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.

We are taking many precautions as we make the first step toward reopening. While we are excited about the chance to have our services available again to some degree, the safety of our staff and patrons is our number one priority.

During Phase 1 and 2 of the libraries’ reopening, we will be offering curbside pickup of materials.

At this time, patrons are not permitted to enter the library building.

HOW CURBSIDE PICK UP WORKS: For patrons who would like to pick up any material available at the library, they must contact us by phone or email to make a reservation on the material and schedule a pickup time. The staff will prepare, sanitize, and check out the material for you. When you arrive at either library, please park in the back lot. At Stockton, we will have a table set up on the front porch of the building where you may pick up your material that a staff member, wearing both a mask and gloves, will bring out to you in a bag from the library, maintaining appropriate social distancing. At Cassadaga, there will be a table under the overhang where the gloved and masked staff will also bring out your materials in a bag. The tables will then be sanitized for the next patron after you leave.
HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR MATERIALS: You may only order materials currently available in our library buildings. THERE IS CURRENTLY NO INTERLIBRARY SYSTEM BETWEEN LIBRARIES. We are still waiting for a date when deliveries from other libraries will be available again. You can start ordering now by calling us at 716-595-3323 (STOCKTON SITE) or 716-595-3822 (CASSADAGA SITE) or by our new email director@stocktonlibraries.org. Any messages sent to our old email will be forwarded to the new.
Patrons can look through the materials currently available at our libraries by visiting https://catalog.stocktonlibraries.org/. You will need to click on the title and scroll down to see if our libraries have an available copy.

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLACE HOLD ONLINE AT THIS TIME. PATRONS ARE ALSO UNABLE TO ENTER THE LIBRARY TO BROWSE THE COLLECTION AT THIS TIME.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PICKUP OF MATERIALS:
The staff will schedule a pickup time for you for any of the reserved materials you have requested by phone. Currently, our pickup hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 5 PM (AT CASSADAGA BRANCH LIBRARY) and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM (AT BOTH MARY E SEYMOUR MEMORIAL FREE LIBRARY IN STOCKTON AND CASSADAGA BRANCH). When you arrive to pick up your items, we may ask for identification if we don’t already recognize you as a frequent patron. If you want to pick up books for other patrons, we will need their written permission if it has not been provided previously. If possible, please call the library when you arrive. Due dates have been reinstated: 3 weeks for books (2 weeks for new books) and one week for DVDs. Items are renewable as before. If after 2 weeks you have not picked up items, they will be returned to our shelves, and you will need to make another request as well as an appointment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURN OF ITEMS:
Please return all materials through our dropbox at either location. All returned materials will be quarantined for the mandated 72 hours before we check them in again. This means materials will remain on your account for three more days after you return them. As always, no fines will be charged for late materials. Our staff will be wearing masks and gloves and using sanitizer when handling your materials.

WE ARE NOT ABLE TO MAKE COPIES FOR YOU OR USE THE FAX MACHINE DURING PHASE 1. NO PATRONS ARE ALLOWED INSIDE THE LIBRARY, AND THERE IS NO COMPUTER AVAILABILITY.

Thank you for your understanding and continued patronage. We look forward to taking this next step. For more updates and information, please follow our Facebook Page (Stockton & Cassadaga Libraries).
